On October 31st, the Kellogg Data & Analytics Club wrapped up KDA Week with a live-updating dashboard tracking Kellogg students’ drinking habits at TG. The initiative, coming on the heels of the disbanding of 7 beers at TG, was inspired by heated TG debates like, “What’s the average number of drinks per person?” and “Is beer still king?”
The KDA TG Dashboard, created by co-presidents Claire Phillips 2Y’26 and Tejas Niphadkar 2Y’26, might just become a yearly KDA club tradition, being a perfect blend of Kellogg tradition and approachable data analytics (I mean, who doesn’t love a good chart with their beer?).
Before we dive into the findings, a disclaimer: this dataset has severe selection bias. Unsurprisingly, more seventh drinks were reported than sixth drinks, and non-alcoholic drinks didn’t exactly flood the submissions.
Still, the numbers tell a story:
Roughly 50% of all recorded drinks were beer. Turns out, Kellogg students love a classic cold one to end the week.

Every one-word review left was positive—nice work, KSA!

One brave soul logged “bleach” as their drink of choice. We hope they’re okay 💜
Three participants reported downing seven beers. To those heroes: we hope you got home safe (and maybe a T-shirt out of it).

While the self-reported drink counts might not win any awards for statistical precision, they do offer a revealing snapshot of TG culture. If nothing else, the numbers confirm what we already knew: Kellogg students love their Friday evening drinks.
